Jodie, 30/10/2021I looked at several makes but decided Makita looked and felt the best, and has a great reputation. The drill seems very sturdy, and the quality of the plastics and the rubber coatings on parts of the drill give it a good quality feel. I bought it to drill through a thick 800mm brick wall — did it with no problem. I delayed buying an SDS drill for some time, but I should have done it sooner — far better the conventional hammer drill ! I originally considered buying the corded model, but this battery model has plenty of power and is much more convenient. The only downside is that it does drain the battery fairly quickly. That’s fine for the type of use I give it, but you really need a spare battery if you have a big job. Very pleased with this purchase.

I normally use Makita because I like the quality and Makita normally come at a reasonable price and this exceed my expectations. I was using a 110v version of this drill but this is just as good. I'd even say its is as good if not better than my workmates Hilti.
